With the growth in popularity of agile management practices, the Project Management Institute (PMI) has taken a bold position, integrating agile project management into its offerings. For example, the new PMBOK Guide (version 7) coming out later this summer is completely restructured to include agile delivery principles, the PMP exam was changed in January 2021 to have approximately 50% of its questions focused on agile and hybrid agile topics, and PMI purchased the Disciplined Agile Consortium in 2019 so that it could fully-integrate its Disciplined Agile certifications into the PMI catalogue.

As of today, Procept is pleased to announce that it has expanded its catalogue of offerings to include PMI's Disciplined Agile lineup. In addition to offering PMI's PMP Exam Prep course, under the PMI Authorized Training Partner (ATP) program, Procept is now authorized by PMI to offer its Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM) and Disciplined Agile Senior Scrum Master (DASSM) courses, including registering students for the post-course PMI certification exams. Like the PMP Exam Prep course, these two new courses will use course materials provided exclusively to ATPs by PMI.

Over the next two weeks, Procept will be creating marketing materials, updating its web site, and scheduling 2021 and 2022 public course offerings for these two new courses. Later this summer, Procept intends to bring on PMI's Disciplined Agile Value Stream Consultant (DAVSC) and Disciplined Agile Coach (DAC) programs as well.

Kevin Aguanno, Procept's president and Agile Practice Lead, commented on this announcement, saying "As we see customer demand shifting to new areas, Procept responds. Look for more announcements in the near future about other expansions to our agile course lineup."
