As a Senior Instructor in Business Analysis, Keith Sarre draws on over 25 years of private sector business experience in financial services, professional services, utilities and telecommunications. He has acquired a deep understanding of the business analyst role from several viewpoints, having successfully fulfilled both client-facing and internal software development assignments in finance, energy retailing, pension trust, human resources and IT. He has participated in projects of various size and complexity at many high profile organizations such as: Deloitte, Accenture, ScotiaTrust, TD Canada Trust, The Canadian Depository for Securities and Cogeco Cable.
In past years, Keith has worked in the trenches leading business analytical initiatives and more recently mentoring BAs in business analysis methodology. He is skilled in requirements engineering and business process modeling using structured analysis and Object-Oriented UML, and has led all systems development life cycle phases from discovery to user acceptance testing.
In recent years, Keith has demonstrated a keen interest in the advancement of the Business Analysis profession, as an early member of the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA™), a reviewer of the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK™), as one of the 1st 100 practitioners globally to acquire the Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP™) designation, and by switching his career focus to sharing his wealth of practical experience in a more formal instructional role. Already Keith has earned a reputation as an exceptional instructor, being able to add meaning and colour to concepts being taught by injecting real life incidents he has encountered along the way.
